I’ve waited all day long for the tennis match between Rafael Nadal and Mardy Fish. ALL DAY LONG! I even cancelled my 7-8 p.m. plans so that I wouldn’t miss the match, and of course so I wouldn’t miss the match between Venus Williams and Serena Williams. The only problem is that the match before the Williams sisters went waaaay long, and then the Williams’ match when waaaay long (great match though), and now it’s 10:37 p.m. and Rafael and Mardy are just getting started.

And it’s like, 2 minutes past my bedtime.

I had this problem all weekend long, but thankfully I could DVR the match, then watch it when I got up in the morning. However, I don’t think I’m going to be able to squeeze 3-5 hours into my day before I go to work in the morning.

Such a dilemma!!!

And I don’t even know who to root for!

I’ve always rooted for Rafael, but now this Mardy guy has come up through the ranks and he’s really REALLY good! I kinda want to root for him. But how can I not root for the newly crowned #1 Rafael Nadal? That’s just wishy washy fandom.

So now it’s 10:44 p.m. and they are still in the first set, Nadal 0, Fish 2. THE FIRST SET!!! And just think, if it’s 10:44 here, it’s 11:44 in NYC. This is going to be a long night folks. A very very long night.
