Have I mentioned my glass globe collection? The blue blowfish started it off when I purchased it in a small store in Lake Geneva about six years ago. Since then I’ve been collecting glass globes. Most of them have been gifts from my husband and daughter, purchased at one of my favorite places:Â The Underwood Gallery in Wauwatosa. A few have come from Door County, and one came from Boulder, Colorado. Only one has been broken — and I honestly don’t know how Zoe managed to do it, but at our old house it shattered clear across the dining room when she threw a toy from about 14′ away that rebounded off a couple walls before hitting the globe (which was also a fish) way up high in the window.
Aren’t they beautiful?

Ooh, those are gorgeous! What a great idea for a collection.
I love the fairy globes. My sister got me one a couple of years ago. I had it for about an hour before it went crashing on the floor. I’ve decided those are my version of your teacups.
