I’ve finished reading The Vintage Caper, by Peter Mayle, the guy who brought us the book that the movie A Good Year was based on that starred Russell Crowe. The Vintage Caper is a nice little book about a wine heist. Now, you know how much I enjoy an art heist, but this was my very first wine heist.
I cannot imagine the pain I’d feel if I came home to find that my two brand new bottles of Jackson-Triggs were stolen, let alone the 500 bottles of wine that were valued at $3 million. I think you’d hear my scream all the way up there on the top of Pikes Peak.
Note to the reader: I do not have $3 million worth of wine. I currently have two bottles. Yes, they are Jackson-Triggs, but they aren’t the ones that I had wanted, but I can’t complain too much because unless I plan on going to Epcot any time soon, or Canada, I’ve got more Jackson-Triggs that most Americans.
I digress.
The book I just picked up from the library is How Starbucks Saved My Life, by Michael Gates Gill. I’ve been meaning to read this book for awhile now, not because I can’t get enough Starbucks, because the truth is that I really don’t care for Starbucks all that much. But because while we were travelling I spent a great deal of time trying to locate the nearest Starbucks to keep my husband appropriately caffeinated.
Anyhow. Starbucks saved this guy’s life. I’m going to read (the fancy way) how it did so. I’ll let cha know.

Sounds like your husband and I have a lot in common. I counted five Starbucks between our resort and the Magic Kingdom last month. (Does your hubby or you have an iPhone? There’s a Starbucks app to make his life easier!)
