Not that kind of coming out. But this kind of coming out seems pretty scary. You see, within the next few days I’m going to be christening a new blog, called ‘I’m Just Saying’, in which I’m going to be a community blogger for my husband’s little newsletter. It’s really not so much a little newsletter (I just like to call it that because, well, I tend to be sarcastic), it’s the daily newspaper here in Milwaukee. They also publish a weekly community newspaper, and that is where my little blog will be located.

There are only a small handful of other bloggers for my community and one of them is talking about beer, the other hasn’t blogged in months, and the other two seem to be politically driven. I don’t plan on talking about beer, politics, nor do I plan on taking a month long hiatus. My blog is going to be different. It’s going to be what I talk about here, except my real name and photograph will be right there for the world to see. And my neighbors too.

How will my off the cuff writing style be received? I’m hoping it’ll be refreshing. But, will people get me? Will they find me interesting enough to subscribe to my feed, or leave a comment? I’m also hoping that those who click over to see what I have to say won’t take one look at my wild mop of curls and send me a hairbrush (I have one, thank you very much, and it makes it worse).

I had to go downtown to have my picture taken on Wednesday. Cripes. After walking two blocks to get to the photo studio from where I had parked, I definitely was sporting the ‘wind blown look’. The photographer asked if I was the blogger who was bringing my dog? My dog? That was an option? Maisy’s hair is waaay more photogenic than mine is …. should I run home and get her?

I did not run home and get my dog, in case you were wondering.
